Smooth open aerator
You quickly turn on the tap - and it happens again: not only does a lot of water come out at once, but it also splashes in all directions when it hits the sink.
The new Smooth Open aerator puts an end to this. The deliberately delayed increase in flow rate prevents heavy spray when the water hits a surface. The aerator is suitable for electronic taps and taps with a large drop height between the spout and basin, for example.
The Smooth open is also available as a cartridge version for assembly in side sprays or angle valves.
You can find more information on the Smooth open aerator and Smooth open cartridge  here.

OJ Electronics, KNOW HOW NEWS

Date: January 13, 2020 11:00 PM

OJ Electronics expands in-house test facilities
Testing electric drives in real-life applications
OJ Electronics is currently putting the finishing touches to its latest expansion of the company’s in-house test facilities. Spanning no less than 340m2 of floor space in a building that has been converted for the purpose, the new test area will focus especially on electric drives but will also be used for test of other ventilation applications as well as thermostats for electric floor heating.

Martin A. Jensen, Senior Quality Manager at OJ Electronics, explains: ‘We’ll use the facility to conduct a wide range of tests, but we will focus mainly on electric drives, testing them in various applications that echo those of our clients – and use their actual products in different combinations. For example, we will install and test set-ups with fans ranging from 500W to 15kW, checking their uses in ventilation units, as rooftop fans for ventilation in houses and agricultural facilities, and rotor applications for heat recovery.’

Keeping tests running for longer
Having a larger test area allows the company to keep more set-ups running for longer, making it easier to test the various solutions’ durability and performance over time: ‘We will create set-ups where we carry out 1,000-hour tests and 5,000-hour tests; that way we can monitor long-term results and catch any potential problems before they’ll ever affect our customers.’

A major investment
The expanded facilities exemplify OJ Electronics’ ongoing devotion to development, regularly funnelling funds back into research and quality assurance: ‘It’s quite an investment for us; we’re spending some 80,000 EUR on these test facilities. But at OJ Electronics, we’ve always prided ourselves on making solutions that reflect our customers’ real life and real applications, and our new test facilities makes it even easier for us to do just that: we can now create an even wider range of set-ups where we combine our customers’ many products in different constellations, testing them to determine which drive works best for each solution.’

At Serman & Tipsmark, we are sometimes given larger projects – as when we recently developed and delivered a large, complex robotic test system.

Fully automatic module tester
The test system is a fully automatic module tester for a larger Danish customer, used for fully automatic testing of the customer’s ready-assembled module units – without any form of manual handling. The test system can handle 50 module variants. Specifically, it tests for pressure loss for flow with up to 15 L/min and for leakage down to 5 ml/min.

The testing time is considerably shortened because the robot does the job and feeds the system. The robot also makes the test more specific because the same motions are repeated. On a screen, the customer can follow the process of the test and make sure that everything is OK. In that way, you can keep track to see if the module is approved or has any errors. In case the system finds errors on a module, it is placed on a special conveyor belt. In the back of the test system, there is easy access to valves, meters, pumps and filters. All of the test system’s electrical installations are combined in one special cabinet as seen in the video below.

Large experience leads to larger jobs
It is far from the first time we, at Serman & Tipsmark, have developed and delivered a test system om the caliber. We have long tradition of advanced systems and have the right competencies to build them. That is also one of the reasons why the customer chose us for the job.

Read the news on our website where you can also watch a video of the test system. In this you can see how it works and what it does.

From Silkeborg to Brønderslev for the great service

Service

From Silkeborg to Brønderslev for the great service

Date: October 5, 2018 9:59 PM

We have always taken pride in supplying the best possible service to our customers – and that pays off. We have a customers who came all the way from Silkeborg to Brønderslev because of the great service we have to offer.

The customer had been looking a valve, but he didn’t know which one he needed or how to mount it for that matter. Every company he had asked couldn’t sell him a valve – unless he could specify the exact type of valve he needed. Moreover, they couldn’t help him mount the valve either.

That was only until he spoke to us at Serman & Tipsmark. Here, the customer quickly discovered that we could guide him in what valve he needed. On top of that, we would also mount it for him. Therefore, he drove all the way from Silkeborg to the office in Brønderslev because we could offer him the service he needed.

To us, meeting the customer in his court and accommodate his needs = good customer service. We are very happy to stand out from the crowd – both in terms of our service and products. This way we can create the little sunshine stories that we live on.

In the future, when we're driving around Denmark all our customers, you will see us in our nice, new Serman & Tipsmark cars. The new cars have gotten an upgrade in the logo, so now you will know what to look for.

The largest single unit so far

Milestone

The largest single unit so far

Date: September 27, 2018 9:59 PM

Location: Brønderslev

Serman & Tipsmark is currently building a very large test panel. Actually, we have now built the frame for what is going to be the largest test panel we have ever produced – and also the largest individual unit we have built.

When we reach such milestones, we want to mark it. So when our smith Jeppe was done welding the frame, he invited everyone at S&T Brønderslev to a topping-out ceremony in the shop. It was a nice afternoon where our service assistant Britta had made a delicious cake, and everyone got to see what we can do in the shop. It was a proud moment for all in Serman & Tipsmark.

The frame itself is 3 x 4 x 2 metres, and it is now ready for the remaining process. First, we put tanks on it. Then, the test panel is ready for our painter. Lastly, it is sent to the hydraulic assembly in the shop – and then the test panel is ready.

As soon as the test panel has gone through the remaining process, it is ready to be delivered to a larger Danish industrial customer.

A new face at Serman & Tipsmark

Date: September 17, 2018 9:59 PM

Location: Brønderslev

It is with great pleasure that we welcome Bo Fisker to Serman & Tipsmark. As of 1 September, Bo is our new Financial Manager and the latest addition to the office in Brønderslev. Originally, he is an accountant, and in his lastest job, he was a Group Finance Manager at the international company SBS in Pandrup.

The fact that Bo has experience from an international company fits perfectly with Serman & Tipsmark currently working on making our focus more international.

Bo lives with his wife and son in Brønderslev, and he will therefore be yet another local face around the office. He values a dynamic company and says that that is exactly what Serman & Tipsmark represents. Bo looks forward to supplying the financial part of Serman & Tipsmark and work closely together with the rest of the management group.
It as very clear that Bo Fisker is the right match as Financial Manager at S&T as he has settled really well among great colleagues.

We look forward to the onward cooperation!

New non-welded piping system at Serman & Tipsmark

New non-welded piping system at Serman & Tipsmark

Date: May 29, 2018 9:59 PM

At Serman & Tipsmark, we strive to provide the best service and the best systems for our customers. For us, that means high-quality work with the best components on the market. That is – among other things – why we collaborate with the global engineering company Parker Hannifin.

Parker has developed a non-welded flanged tube and piping system – Parflange F37. We use this pipe system in our productions. It makes it both more efficient and more secure to transfer pressure-carried fluids. We use the piping system for e.g. industrial, offshore and marine applications – it’s ideal for our high-pressure applications.

The F37 piping system has high mechanical stability and great sealing characteristics. The non-welded piping system ensures leak-free and fast assembly because we save time on welding. This means that we can supply our customers with our systems even faster.
